How to choose

Start with the grandparent's daily routine rather than a milestone: what do they already do each morning, and what would they enjoy doing more? For anything that needs setup, such as a digital frame, offer to do it with them or ahead of time. Check sizes, colours and whether film, seed or batteries are sold separately. If the gift is from the whole family, a photo or a story book often means more than a gadget. Ask for a gift receipt so they can swap without awkwardness, and add a handwritten note.
